You walk in and instantly feel like you’ve stepped into someone’s well-loved kitchen and trust me, the owner loves her kitchen, loves what she does, and is the nicest person ever.The food soothes your soul. Nothing is fussy or overdone, they are just honest, basically homemade meals made with care. It is the kind of place that makes you want to linger over coffee and pie, chatting with the owner and sharing stories.This place is a true rare treasure in this world that is moving too fast and painting over nostalgia with soulless cookie cutter eating spots.

my aunt and i came in yesterday after doing some boring yet important financial stuff. i hadnt eaten all day and i could feel the burger actively healing my body as i ate it. LOVED the look of the place, loved the warm, open nature of the owner. might ask my aunt to come back next time we have to do stuff!

There's a reason they have 5 stars. A friend and I were visiting the car museum nearby and stopped here for lunch and not only was the food beyond fantastic the hospitality was great too. It's clearly a local place that cares about its everyday customers as well as all of those passing through. Not only that but lunch for 2 (double patty melt, 3 chicken tinder meals and 2 milkshakes) was only 23.

First timer here and I gotta say that this place rules! There's so few old school diners anymore. The decor is perfect (with tons of chachkis), the owner/operator is friendly, kind, is a great cook, and clearly knows everyone in the neighborhood. The food is classic and prepared exactly as it should. It's everything you want in a neighborhood daytime joint! And, street parking on Cicero is easy peasy.

Local Hidden Gem I’ve frequently passed this place and had been curious about it. Finally had the chance to check it out and was so pleased I did! We stopped by for lunch and the owner / host / cook was so friendly and inviting. The space also feels like you’re walking into a family members house. The food (breakfast and burger) were both quality and so yummy - better than many bigger chain places.Overall, we had a cozy experience with delicious food and really great prices. Definitely recommend!

came here twice this week bc the food was so good, lived down the street my whole life and never noticed this place before. will definitely keep coming back.

Very good old school food… take me back to my HS days with open lunch. I love their pancakes. My young ones love this places food too especially the burgers.

It’s my first time trying out the food. The shake was by far my favorite. I’ve had such a wonderful experience. I liked the whole vibe of the establishment. I will definitely come here again to try those pizza puffs and of course along with a shake. I believe Penny was the name who attended me so I thank you for being a wonderful person. The price wasn’t half bad either. Your getting your money’s worth. Of course as mentioned in the caption the burger was good. I’ll probably ask for more fries on my next visit.
